This Giving Tuesday, join Heritage Waters Coalition (HWC) in a pivotal movement to defend land and water rights, embodying the spirit of responsible stewardship that is our nation's hallmark.
Our coalition is at the forefront, combating policies that threaten these rights, and advocating for the real people affected by them. We're actively opposing US Senator Martin Heinrich’s S. 776, the M.H. Dutch Salmon Greater Gila Wild & Scenic River bill, which, if passed, could severely impact land and water rights owners along the Gila and San Francisco Rivers in Southwest New Mexico.
We stand with over 700,000 people across 14 counties whose livelihoods depend on ranching, farming, timber, and mining. Our goal is to challenge the Gila Forest Service’s justifications and seek a balanced solution that respects both community welfare and ecological integrity.
